Your Speech Writer (yourspeechwriter.co.uk) is run by Russell Marsh, trading as Your Speech Writer, 7 Broadley Street, Rossendale, BB4 8EZ. Email: hello@yourspeechwriter.co.uk. By using the site or buying a speech, you agree to these terms.
The service
You answer a few questions about your occasion, and our speechwriting system, which uses artificial intelligence, writes three versions of a personalised speech from your answers. You can read the opening of your speech for free. If you want the full speeches, you pay a one-off fee to unlock all three versions and the delivery tips.
Price and payment
The price is shown before you pay (currently £9.99 – £14.99 per speech) and is the full amount you pay. Payment is taken by PayPal, and you can pay with a PayPal account or a debit or credit card. You must be 18 or over to buy.
Delivery
Your speeches appear on screen as soon as payment goes through, and we email a copy with a link to come back to them. The link works for 12 months.
Your answers
You are responsible for the information you give us. Please only include details you have a right to share and that you are happy to have included in a speech. Don’t include anything unlawful, hateful or abusive. We may leave out anything like that.
Checking your speech
Your speech is written from your answers, but it is your speech to give. Please read it through before the day, check names, facts and anything that might not suit the audience, and change anything you like. We are not responsible for how a speech is received on the day.
Using your speech
Once you have paid, the speeches are yours to use, edit, share and deliver as you wish.
Cancellations and refunds
Because your speeches are delivered straight away, you lose the usual 14-day right to cancel once they are unlocked. You agree to this when you pay. This does not affect your legal rights if something goes wrong. Please see our Refunds page.
Our responsibility to you
We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the speech in question.
Fair use
To keep the service running smoothly, there is a daily limit on free previews. Please don’t try to misuse the service, copy it, or access it by automated means.
The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
